Instead, with this update, Instagram™ gives you the ability to pin up to three comments on every post. Plus, when you pin a comment, the original commenter gets a notification.

How to Pin an Instagram™ Comment
Pinning an Instagram™ comment just takes a couple of steps. First, find the comment that you want to pin. You’ll be able to unpin the comment later if needed, so don’t worry too much about picking the perfect comment.
Next, swipe left and tap on the thumbtack icon. That’s it! Your comment is now pinned, and the account that left the comment will get a notification.
