Lafayette 148 Previews Inclusive Sizing Winter Collection

Lafayette 148 New York recently previewed their forthcoming holiday collection, which will be available in their usual extended size run. One year ago, the company was rapidly adapting their production model to meet the needs of a pandemic-stricken world. Now the new collection serves as a source of celebration for a season we’ve missed, says design director, Emily Smith.

The cozy fashion that has been prioritized for the past year can still be seen in the collection’s shearling coats, fleeces and boucle knits. Smith has worked to bridge comfort and luxury by adding pieces such as a satin-edged smoking jacket and details like hand-painted leather.

She says that Lafayette 148 has been rethinking how they approach collections, with a new focus on sustainability over concept. Smith shares she hopes the collection will be part of a holiday season that centers “reigniting, rejoicing and reconnecting.”
