When you want to accelerate your progress


The Power Circle includes all 8 aspects of your life. The eight aspects include: 

  1. Enjoying life – “You” time 
  2. Spirituality 
  3. Family & Friendships 
  4. Significant Other (your relationship – if you have one or if you want one) 
  5. Your Big Goals 
  6. Health and Wellness
  7. Work (career) 
  8. Finances

 

Each of the eight areas in your Power Circle needs some care, focus and attention. But, a common trap that is easy to fall into is to devote too much attention to one or two areas and not focus enough attention on other areas.

It’s similar to how the four wheels of a car work together: when all your tires are in their best condition, balanced with the ideal air pressure, your drive is smooth and easy. However, if you have one tire with a leak, it slows you down and can even cause you to veer off course (not to mention that the ride becomes very bumpy).

Now the reality is that even though we want all areas working well together, we can’t focus on making huge progress in all 8 areas at the exact same time. That would be really overwhelming.

So, every month you sit down with a printout of your Power Circle, reflect on the area that feels most important to focus in on, and put your growth plan together. There are several good practices and specific steps to take when it comes to aligning your Power Circle. I’ll be doing an upcoming podcast so we can dive into The Power Circle much deeper.

But, for today, start reflecting on your Power Circle and what you want for each of the 8 areas of your life. You’ll get to see how helpful it is to take 10 minutes, go through this exercise, and fill out your Power Circle. I’ve included the steps below.
