3 Reasons Your Pins Aren’t Going Viral On Pinterest (And How To Fix It) — molly ho studio

They’ve worked hard at pinning quality stuff their community can depend on and love. Their followers and friends in the industry know that what they pin is valuable and reliable stuff. This is where having a proper Pinterest strategy and branded pins come in.

Branded pins allow people to easily recognize you, because you have a signature style that can be spotted right away when they’re scrolling. And if you are consistently uploading new content? You’ve hit the jackpot.

Trust is built over time, not right away. But if you’re consistent on Pinterest and your content is quality stuff, people will start to know, like, and trust you and repin your content, because it’s going to help them grow their account too.

Pro tip: Pin other people’s stuff, not just your own.

Some pin design tips for you:

  • Make sure your pins are vertical. Square and horizontal pins just don’t do as well.

  • Make your text easy to read (i.e. large text), but also keep in mind of whitespace (the space around the text).

  • Make sure it’s easy on the eyes (stick to a FEW colors and fonts – ideally your brand guidelines if you have them).

  • Have a few pin styles and stick to them. This is how you build brand awareness, familiarity, and trust.

Be patient. Marketing is a long-term strategy, not a one-hit-wonder.
