This is one of the most important tips! I can’t stress this enough! I was only able to travel because I worked hard and saved more money than I spent. As a result, I had enough money stashed away that I was able to live abroad for only so long without income before I began to run out of my savings! And it happened.
During my time abroad I’ve worked many different jobs such as being a social media consultant, from a digital marketing professional to a waitress, to a yoga instructor and everything else between. I know now that I should have been blogging and working on my brand those years. But no worries, you live and you learn!
Earlier this year I was living in Sydney and I realized I could continue working my part-time job at a call center or I could return to the US start an online business and then continue traveling while growing both my business and brand.
Since I was starting my new business broke (let’s be real) I figured my best bet would be to return to the States, reconnect with friends and family as I built my brand.
Definitely plan your finances better than me so that if you decide you want to start an online business abroad, you can just afford to do it!
