Alexis Ren Launches A New Interactive Platform For Women: We Are Warriors

Influencer and entrepreneur, Alexis Ren, has launched a new interactive platform for women focusing on personal development and community connection. The Dancing With The Stars alum who has over 20 million followers on social media saw the need to bring community and connection to women during the beginning of the pandemic. Initially Ren was building a community over DM’s which then transitioned to monthly challenged over Zoom. When the demand for these monthly challenges began to increased into the summer of 2020, Ren realized she needed to provide a more formal experience for the women where collaboration, growth and community could intersect.

“I felt that social media in today’s world had become a place of competition and distorted ideas of what it meant to live a fulfilled life; I wanted to create a community that served as a safe space for women to heal, grow, learn, and support one another, rather than comparing themselves. Now more than ever, we need these warriors of support in our life – to make us feel connected wherever we are and no matter what we’re going through. We Are Warriors (WAW) empowers young women to transform their mind through a 360-degree approach, including fitness, education, journaling, mediation, and live calls, 30 days at a time,” shared Ren. “WAW is different from other platforms in that we teach meaningful accountability through community, so members feel connected to the community of over 3,000+ women from over 70+ countries, and through that, they learn to connect with themselves. By hosting what we call ‘live calls’ we’re able to experience this sense of community over zoom and form real relationships while we’re all making sustainable changes for the mind and body together. We are Warriors was named by the members themselves! I had initially created a 30-day mental and physical challenge at the beginning of 2020 and all of the members called themselves wARriors. It stuck because at the core, that’s what we all are.”

Every month the warriors take on a new challenge together to evolve mentally, physically, and spiritually. An expert instructor leads each challenge by designing a curriculum and then providing pre-recorded video content and hosting weekly live calls throughout the duration of the challenge. The challenges range from dance, fitness, ballet, yoga, meditation, soul talks, boxing, and more. “We are launching a ‘finance challenge’ soon where our warriors can learn incredible tips and habits for saving, taxes, smart credit decisions, investing, and more. I believe it’s so important for females to feel in control of their future and there are so many ways we can further teach and empower each other,” Ren explained about the upcoming finance challenge.

When members join WAW, they have access to all of the past challenges including fourteen courses and over 200 videos. All challenges are accompanied by daily journaling prompts and community live calls. Inside the member dashboard, members can find journal journeys with daily prompts that focus on everything from gratitude to confidence to self-care. Additionally, a number of live group calls are held through the week. “I host a group call personally that really feels like going to a group therapy session with your best friends. We talk about what we’re struggling with and celebrating, do a journaling prompt together, a self-reflection talk, a meditation and always end with warriors shoutouts – a time for our members to highlight & send love to each other,” explained Ren. “Aside from my call, the instructor hosting the monthly challenge has their own live call, in addition to live yoga and workouts throughout the week – sometimes held by our community members themselves!”

Ren created WAW during a time when everyone needed to feel a sense of community more than ever. The growth in the community numbers and the power of women uplifting one another and growing together, motivated her to really launch the new online platform. “The full launch and new online platform is a really exciting evolution for us as it gives us the ability to create a hub for members with everything in one place. From an interactive calendar that posts new calls and events daily to your own personalized profile and private chats for you and your accountability sisters, it really fosters the community ethos of WAW. Community is the foundation of WAW, so it was important to us to listen to our members about what they wanted to see and grow a really authentic platform with those ideas in mind. We would love to invite others to experience the new platform; we are currently offering a free one week trial for anyone who signs up,” said Ren.

With over 3,300 members spanning across 72 countries including Spain, New Zealand, France, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Canada Ren is working creating an app, and plans to expand the movement into more physical events, once it is safe to do so. “My biggest goal is to continuously bring on more mentors who we can all learn and grow with and help these girls grow into their own power and share it with the world. The world is going through big changes and I know that what we need more of are warriors who know their potential and have a community backing them wherever they go in life,” she shared.
