You were divinely guided to in the first place?
Answer: soooo many lessons.
Several years ago, I was clearly guided to stop my main offering: my high-end mastermind.
I was confused, annoyed, scared, frustrated, sad.
Looking back now, I can so clearly see things I couldn’t see then, and I wanted to take a moment to share with you in case you ever end up receiving guidance that doesn’t seem to make sense.
Lesson 1
A lot of people talk about following guidance… It’s one thing to follow it when it’s clearly guiding you somewhere you know you want to go (like when I was first guided and then continuously guided to do the mastermind), or even when you’re guided away from something that’s clearly not working.
It’s a whole other ball game when the guidance seems to be taking you directly AWAY from what you want and what seems to be working really well.
But here’s the thing. God knows more than I do. God can see further down the line that I can.
This is why I followed the guidance even though it WAS scary, sad, frustrating and confusing… even though it did NOT make sense to me.
Lesson 2
There were some things that I was looking at through rose-colored glasses, and other things that I could not see at all.
For example, even though my business had a fairly masc/fem balance (and clients often considered my work to be very in/from the feminine), I was actually still operating from a VERY masculine/linear/ “strategic” perspective, to the point that unconsciously I was censoring my flow of creativity and channeling A LOT.
*Again I couldn’t identify or see this then, but I can see it very clearly now.
This looked like me having great ideas but then overthinking the strategic flow of them so much before ever taking action (aka logic the shit out of them to see if it was worth my time and energy), that most of them went unused because it felt more draining at that point than fun or expressive.
Now, I give myself permission to follow the flow of energy, take inspired action on it and then later apply my logical/strategy brain to it if and when I want to. Because I’m not resisting things before they even start, I’ve had so much freed up energy, expression, creativity AND offerings/value in my business.
This is something I couldn’t have planned for or logiced my way into a solution for… but I was guided to it without even knowing.
Lesson 3
Perhaps the biggest thing to come out of this was releasing attachment to one thing being the saviour, the solution, the ONLY option.
Because I saw my mastermind as my main offering and the one thing that secured my income for the next year, there was always a bit of subconscious, underlying pressure.
And because I felt that I had such finite energy (because I was micromanaging it so much and using so much energy resisting the flow), there was an underlying sense of it “needing” to work because if it didn’t, I wouldn’t have the energy to do something else.
Although these two underlying energies didn’t seem to impact me, the launch or the mastermind very much at all, I know they weren’t the most solid and expansive foundation to build off of, and had I kept going that way, eventually something would have impacted it for sure. (My guess is the expansion of the mastermind size potentially, and/or who was attracted to it – because let’s be real, those underlying energies can attract similar energies.)
So, while things have felt slower and smaller since the guidance to continue forward popped in, I know now that the NEW foundation I’m building and expanding from is one that’s going to allow me to live more richly, fully, expansively and freely… and with a lot more energy.
It’s also going to allow those who are called into my space to experience more of the same, and to know that even when they are guided down paths that they don’t understand yet, they can trust themselves and the guidance. They’ll know that there’s something better than they could have ever logically planned for on the other side.
