Allison Braun — 3 Steps to Making More While Working Less

If you’re wanting to make more money and also work LESS (aka spend less time doing the busy work that doesn’t light you up and isn’t your zone of genius), here are 3 important things you’re going to want to look at.

When I started my coaching business 9 years ago, I knew I had to do things differently. I knew I wanted to be making way more money, have a much deeper impact, and I wanted to have more time to LIVE and do all the things I knew would allow me to grow as a human and take really great care of myself… while having fun 🙂

I was committed to making multiple six figures while working 15-20 hours a week. With this focus, I was able to create that reality: a community that is deeply impacted by the work we are doing together, having literally millions of views on YouTube, creating content I loved making, and traveling the world with my Soul Mate Clients like I had always wanted to do.

Now I support my clients who are tapped out, feeling stuck at an income ceiling and not knowing how they could make more money without also working more or doing more than they are, which already feels like a lot.

In my Work Less, Make More Intensive, I guide my clients through a proven process that I want to give you a behind-the-scenes peek at today so you can start this process for yourself.

STEP 1: Observe your current reality.

How are you spending your time? Your money? How do you feel about how you’re spending your time & money? What’s feeling good? What is feeling frustrating or not satisfying you?

When I hear the answers to these questions from my clients, I can usually tell within minutes what’s going on and can quickly identify (both from what they are actually saying and also from the energy and tone behind what they are saying) where they are misaligned with their energy, commitments and priorities.

What most people don’t realize is that there is so much happening behind the scenes that can drain/consume our energy OR give us energy.

You can’t make or receive more if you don’t feel like there is ROOM for more. So, in this step, you are looking at where you can clear unaligned things out to make more space for what you DO want.

And, because we only have so much time available to us, we need to ensure our priorities and how we are spending that time and precious energy is aligned with the experience we really want.

STEP 2: Get clear on what you desire to experience instead.

Before things can shift, you need to know WHAT you want and WHY – get as specific as you can. Sometimes there is clarity there, and sometimes there are layers of “shoulds” and “needs” that can be stripped away to reveal a more honest, true and authentic desire.

Tapping into why you want what you want can support you in going deeper to connect with what the real desire may be or help you realize that you don’t really want that. (Maybe it was your Aunt Kathy who wanted that, but not you!)

What does your ideal life look like? How are you spending your time and money? And how much money do you specifically need to live that life?

This is the process I guide all my clients through in the Business Pleasure Map.

With the feeling of connection to desire, the willingness to make changes opens up more organically and easefully.

STEP 3: Identify where your beliefs don’t match up with your desires, and switch them up.

For example: You really want to be making $50,000 months and have plenty of free time to be fully present with your loved ones and to take really good care of your body. But, deeper down you believe that to make that much money you have to sacrifice your health and free time.

Because your health is important to you, you aren’t willing to sacrifice it to make that $50,000/month so you subconsciously block yourself from making that money or protect yourself from making that sacrifice.

Make sense?

Another example I see a lot: To have a high six-figure company, I have to be a CEO, and being a CEO means I have to be someone I’m not (wear suits, have boring meetings, work really hard for long days). I am absolutely NOT willing to be someone I’m not, but because I believe making high six figures requires that, I’m not willing to make high six figures.

Now, to be clear, I’m not saying that to experience your desires you have to do something that feels unsafe or you have to be willing to be someone you’re not – absolutely not.

But bringing these more subconscious beliefs (often created early on in our lives) to the surface allows us to change them to be more in alignment with what we really want our experience to be. This is a very important part of the process.

So, the more myself I am, the better CEO I am. The more myself I am, the more I attract aligned six-figure opportunities.

Or, prioritizing self care and receiving support allows me to be even more valuable to my community.

Or, it’s safe for me to be seen in my power.

I can make more money with even more ease.

At this point, there may be energy work or healing to be done to support this process. In that case, it can be helpful to have a safe container (like the Work Less, Make More Intensive) with someone equipped to help you release those stuck emotions and trapped beliefs without judgment.

Without addressing those first 3 steps, whatever you’re doing around strategy, actions and plans (no matter how genius or good those strategies and actions are) won’t have the effectiveness and efficiency.

BUT with the above steps completed, what you do next can have exponential results, so I’ll add it as a bonus step 4. With this clean slate to create from, you can:

BONUS STEP 4: Strategize, plan and create from a receptive, aligned space.

I’m a big fan of integrated flow states. I can usually see at least 1 (if not 3) ways that increased income can come in, with the subtlest shifts or actions.

For example, one client realized if she allowed herself to make one aligned request from a dear friend (with the new belief system that it’s safe for her to receive support), she’d open herself up to a community of 1.5 million women in her target market and the possibility of more than doubling her income (to over $1 million). This meant serving a lot more people without a lot more energy output OR out-of-alignment pushing.

I also invite my clients to come into connection with your own inner wisdom, and support them in doing so. This allows you to download/receive guidance on your next steps as well.

Close your eyes, take 10 deep, full breaths and ask the question, “What is my next guided action step to experience _______________?”

Trust what comes through and go do the damn thang.

As all this happens, you are:

  1. Opening up to the possibility of your desires (and more) actually happening in alignment with HOW you want that journey and experience to look and feel like.

  2. Drastically reducing the energy output required to bring that desire into reality.

  3. Creating a path to your desire that’s more easeful and enjoyable.

This is a small peek behind the scenes at my process in supporting clients make more, live more and give more while actually working and sacrificing themselves less.

Do you feel stuck working harder than you want to, especially on things you aren’t really enjoying? Do you want to be making more money so you can have even more of the experiences you desire, but aren’t willing to compromise how that money comes in?

I invite you to experience the Work Less, Make More Intensive for yourself so you can open up to feeling the way you want to feel, having the experiences you want to have, and make the money and be of service in the way you so deeply desire. All while being even more of yourself in the process.

P.S. – You may or may not have heard that I’m doing a series of Case Studies to document this process with a few qualifying people at a super special rate. There are 2 Case Study spots left (total).

In case you’re wondering, here are the Qualifiers for the Case Study:

  1. You must be a coach or soulful service provider

  2. You must be or feel at capacity (or very close to it) with how many clients you can take on, either practically and/or energetically

  3. You have something you’re longing to have more space/energy for

  4. Be willing and able to fully engage & take timely/fast action

  5. Be willing to celebrate and share progress in a couple of assessments/questionnaires throughout the process (which is actually added value for you)
