Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Simplecast or Overcast.

I am so excited to introduce you to today’s guest (my first podcast guest!), Chido Samantha. Chido is a marketing and business consultant and a certified digital wellness expert. So many of us during the pandemic have found ourselves overwhelmed and stressed by technology overuse (doom scrolling, anyone?), which is why this chat with Chido is so important.

Chido discovered the Digital Wellness Institute and became one of the first graduates of their Digital Wellness Certification Program in 2020. Her mission is to create a digital wellness community that helps others who work online and remotely to learn how to decrease screen time and have more human time.

Together, we talk about how to use social media in healthy ways, how to set boundaries with our digital usage and what online work should look like. We chat about The Social Dilemma documentary and how entrepreneurs can battle their love/hate relationship with Instagram. And we discuss whether adults need limits on screen time, just like we do for our kids.

In this episode, we dive into:

  • The last 10 years and how our habits around technology have changed
  • How we use technology and what limits we need to set
  • How to use technology and social media in a healthy way
  • What things online business owners can do to take back their lives and not experience social media overload
  • Three practical ways to take digital control back
  • How to create a social media schedule for yourself
  • The genius walk
  • What to do instead of looking at your phone
  • How we want to work online
  • What our digital boundaries are and how to set them
  • Chido’s story and how she chose to focus on digital wellness
