My Biggest Setback Since Starting A Business At Age 19

Welcome to Feature Friday, where we feature the story of an inspiring woman entrepreneur.

(PS. Do you want to be featured next? Find out how at the bottom of this post!)

This week we are featuring Alecia Tutolo of Eventistry By Alecia. She is one of the newest members of the Young Women Entrepreneurs Club and we are proud to have her as part of the community!Alecia Tutolo

Even though she started her first business at 19, Alecia says that self-doubt is still her biggest setback in business. Thankfully, she has a great support system to keep her moving. Check out her story below:

1. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

I’ve kind of always been one as I’ve owned my own business since I was 19 years old. I decided that I wanted to dive into the online business world so I started off as a Freelancer. What inspires me is that when I put my mind to something and decide to go for it, I know I can achieve success. Another inspiration for becoming an entrepreneur are my kids. I wanted to be a stay at home mom and run my business from home.

2. What entrepreneur do you look up to most that inspires you and why?

I look up to Marie Forleo. She is so classy and she knows what she’s doing. Her website is mind blowing and she has lots of amazing content. I love her brand!

3. What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur?

My biggest challenge as an entrepreneur is staying focused. Self doubt sometimes creeps in and some days you don’t feel your best. What motivates me to keep going is the fact that I know I can do even better than I’m doing now. I find that Networking and joining like-minded groups help overcome my challenges.

4. What’s the biggest piece of advice would you give to women who are looking to start or grow their own business?

Seriously just do it. If you have an idea you should just do it! There’s nothing stopping you but yourself. Write down your dream map and what you want to accomplish. The more you write things down the easier it is to see what you have to do and check it off. I also recommend getting a planner, I have the Passion Planner and it helps me map out my dreams and goals for the next 6-12 months. It truly helps me stay focused and drive forward.

My mom also helps me a lot. She gives me so much great advice. She always tells me that I am smart and can do whatever I want. Create a strong support circle and you will find your way to success.

5. Share your business with us. What do you do and where can people find you to connect?

I’m a Digital Event Strategist. I plan awesome events for entrepreneurs and I take their ideas and turn their event into a reality.
