Earlier this month, the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) announced the formation of the Minority Business Enterprise Advisory Council. In recognition of NMSDC’s leading role in advancing minority businesses, the MBDA appointed NMSDC CEO and president, Ying McGuire to the council.

The council will advise and assist MBDA in its continued mission to promote the growth of minority-owned businesses. In addition to McGuire, the council comprises eight private sector members and one representative from each of 10 federal agencies that support business formation, labor development, monetary policy, national security, energy, agriculture, transportation, and housing.

“I am deeply honored and excited to join this important advisory group for minority business development,” said McGuire. “Working alongside such accomplished leaders and experts from both the private and public sectors, I am confident that we can collectively help drive the MBDA’s vision forward, significantly accelerating MBE growth and creating long-lasting generational wealth for the communities we serve,” she added.
